The role
We’re on the lookout for a digital-savvy, creative thinker to join our marketing team! Reporting to our Marketing Director, you’ll play a key role in driving the brand presence, boosting online engagement, and helping us attract new customers through smart digital strategies, specifically focusing on Social Media.

What you’ll be doing
Every day will look a little different, but here’s the kind of work you’ll be jumping into:

  • Build brilliant digital connections with customers that generate leads, traffic, and engagement.
  • Planning, executing, and monitoring company and brand presence & engagement on social media within agreed plan and timeline. Working across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook platforms.
  • Spot ways to improve how people experience us online – and implement those ideas.
  • Help grow our online business by supporting KPIs and tracking what’s working.
  • Keep track of online analytics and make data-led decisions based on this information.
  • Create on-trend and effective email campaigns and newsletters to improve the open & click through rate.
  • Help grow our social media following, boost engagement, and build our database to support sales.
  • Be part of planning and running online ads – and track their performance.
  • Bring ideas to our UGC and influencer programs and use the content to maximize engagement.
  • Help create and track our twice-yearly digital magazine – from content to performance.
  • Keep our websites looking fresh with updated images, copy, and product info.
  • Work with the wider team on a marketing calendar across channels.
  • Support salon promotions and help develop point-of-sale (POS) materials.
  • Learn the ropes of field sales and assist in driving new business.
  • Get involved in exciting projects like London Fashion Week and the development of our Pro Team.

 What we’re looking for

  • At least 2 years in a marketing-related role.
  • You get digital – from strategy to SEO to social trends.
  • You’re comfortable with being on social media whether it’s fun reels or podcast interviews.
  • You’re hands-on with tools like Instagram, Facebook, Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • A bonus if you know a thing or two about video production.
  • You’ve got a creative mind and love writing engaging content.
  • You're interested in the world of hair and fashion.
  • You like to dig into data and find ways to improve.
  • You’re a strong communicator and team player.
  • You’re flexible, organised, and always up for helping out with other company tasks.

Job Description
Reporting to the Sales Director and Salon Development Manager, the purpose of this role is to support the growing and developing business to achieve targets for sales, new customer acquisition and overall growth while building excellent partnerships with hair salons and advising on/facilitating their business growth.

Laceys are a growing company with over thirty years expertise in professional hair products and partnerships. Our mission is to provide quality products, education, and expertise to help professional hairdressers grow.
As online plans are developed and implemented, the traditional Sales Representative job evolves into a Business Development role, helping salon owners and stakeholders to identify and implement the right mix of brands, products, and services to achieve their business goals. There is huge opportunity to be noticed, recognised, and rewarded for effective contribution to this family-owned company.
 
 
Key Tasks (in principle but not limited to):
    • Assist with customer transition to online accounts & ordering for all salons.
    • Actively seek and open new business to agreed targets, contributing to increased market share.
    • Develop existing business, upgrading customer spend and profile journey through Premium, Boutique, and Individual accounts.
    • Reach agreed sales goals and margins.
    • Reach out to and reactivate dormant/previous accounts.
    • Assist with positioning Laceys as the best company to support salons with their business plan, fit-out, service, product, and retail offer.
    • Connect customers with Laceys USPs and have an understanding of and ability to communicate all company touch points.
    • Contribute to the growth of online business across a variety of channels and brands, helping with database growth to enable the company to communicate with an expanding audience.
    • Promote and secure bookings for Laceys Education sessions and events.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the professional hair industry, support strategies and activities for both sales growth and new business acquisition.
    • Agree journey plans to optimise time management and business opportunities.
 
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Minimum of three years in a sales related role.
  • A desire to thrive in a growing company and be key to its future transition and success.
  • The ability to travel, along with a driving licence.
  • A good understanding of numbers.
  • A keen interest in hair and fashion.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Flexibility to work as a collaborator alongside other BDCs and consult with Laceys team at all levels.
